360° Panoramas of Artists in Their Studios
Since 2004, I have been photographing artists in their working environments as part of my ongoing Artist Studio Portrait Project. Each panorama offers an immersive 360° view — an opportunity not only to see the artist, but to explore the space in which they create.
Many of these panoramas were captured at higher-than-standard resolution, inviting you to zoom in and discover the small details that make each studio unique.
A space to create is essential for many artists. Rising rents and shifting circumstances often displace studios over time — some artists move to new spaces, some to entirely new cities. Because of this, I see these panoramas as more than documentation; they are a record of artists and their environments at a particular moment in time.
Over the years, the number of participating artists has grown to more than 200. A small selection is shown below; browse by state or city using the menu, or reload the page to see a different group of artists in their studios.
